On the 7th day of each month group members are encouraged to do the following:
1) Open your current work in progress (WIP)
2) Go to page 7 (or 14, or 21, or 28, etc)
3) Pick 7 consecutive lines (spoiler-free if possible)
4) Copy those lines into a new post in this group (or create a shareable image)
5) Include a link to where people can follow you, or to an event you're running
6) Tag 7 other authors and encourage them to do the same thing
7) Share the posts on social media, with the link the author provided, and the hashtag #777Club
So, that's 7th day of each month, page 7 of your WIP, 7 lines of text, tag 7 authors (hence 7-7-7 Club ;))
This can be a great way to tie into a promotional event. To create an image post, I suggest people use Canva, or a similar tool... less

So hoist 'em high/and have a crunch

Jacquie Rogers' Pickle Barrel Bar and Books is a fun place for those who love books can hang out and share some fun times. We can talk about cowboys, dragons and faeries, or your pets. :) You'll find out about Jacquie's latest releases and be treated to sneak peeks no one else gets. And occasionally, we'll have a party, so put on your dancin' shoes!

For authors looking for beta readers: This is NOT the place for promotion/marketing. Don't ask for beta readers unless you're seeking feedback for the purpose of improving your manuscript prior to publication. SPECIFY what kind of feedback you want. Let potential beta readers know the genre/subgenre of your story; not everyone who reads sci-fi also reads fantasy, and not everyone who reads urban fantasy also reads sword-and-sorcery.
For readers volunteering to beta read: Beta reading is a commitment of time and effort. Don't say you'll do it unless you plan to follow through. Any author looking for beta readers wants to know WHY the reader likes it or not; they don't need some vague "I like it -- keep writing!" less
