Because today is Day 1 of the Brain to Books Cyber Convention & I've had the honor of being the Fantasy Genre Manager for the second year running.
If you drop in and take a look at the events running in JUST the #Fantasy Genre you'll see why. We have an Author Showcase and Story Daisy Chain happening on GoodReads, a Cover Wars and Character Tournament on Brackify, we have three discussion panels planned on Zoom, two Blog Tours, an eBook and physical book #Giveaway and a Book Expo being hosted by Brain to Books.... And that's just in the Fantasy Genre alone...
We have so much going on in other genres too... Visit the Brain to Books CyCon Site (b2bcycon) for a list of where everything's happening... less

I did B2BCyCon once, but couldn't keep up. There was so much happening. I look forward to a report when it's over and you're back among us.

The key with B2BCyCon is pick the events that will work for your marketing strategy. For me that's giving my time to the other authors to help organize the events. I rarely do much publicity during the event... EXCEPT when doing panel discussions when we get to do the intros and outros... Then I use the connections I make to help promo post-event.

True, sometimes the reason an author isn't signed with a big house is due to rejections, but other times we don't even query. There is a lot of high quality fantasy out there that's selfpub and indie - let's shine a light on the best of them! At the end of each year, one will be awarded Indie Dragon of the Year and receive a trophy and a certificate.
*Please stop sending me sci-fi, I don't have the skills to review that. less

Timothy Bateson yep, urban fantasy is good - as long as it's definitely fantasy and not scifi masquerading as UF (I trust your judgement, just that's happened once or twice).

It's a shape-shifter short story that's been out a couple of years, but with plans to release a couple more stories this year. I wanted covers that match across the series... I'm up for any slots you have available, and will happily reciprocate.

If you like you can email we at esfurlan(dot)author(at(gmail(dot)com and we can discuss, it's pretty flexible. The only properly reserved and finalised spots taken for interviews right now are April and May, and with reviews I'm still trying to streamline the process but June is definitely doable.

So I'm just here to say, I am an author but also a REVIEWER, INTERVIEWER and ILLUSTRATOR. I review indie and self-published fantasy novels (fantasy only - cannot stress that enough), I interview indie and self-published fantasy authors and I provide illustration and book covers services. The interviewing/reviewing stuff is through my blog and my lil Youtube channel called The Indie Dragon. For the reviews, once or twice a year there will be polls where a winner will be selected and presented with a nice lil trophy and certificate. I'm still getting it off the ground, slightly hampered by people also sending me sci-fi (do not send me sci-fi, please, I'm not reviewing sci-fi). So yeah, shoot me a mail if you fit the criteria at esfurlan(dot)author(at)gmail(dot)com and I look forward to chatting fantasy. Thanks for having me. less

Yeah, I know. I donated $25 or so to the GoFundMe, I think. I have the receipt somewhere in my inbox.
