  • Charles Moulton I'm living in Panama [Paradise]. Anyone coming here can contact me, and I can tell you about the places you would like. I will first say to avoid Colon, at all costs, as it is dangerous, as are a few places in Panama City. There is great freedom, here, and places where a lot of people who speak English are sort of colonized [Boquete, in particular]. A few authors, and some musicians and artists of other fields, of international reknown vacation in Isla Colon. [Bocas del Toro province, NOT Colon!]. which is like an older version of Key West. I am in Gualaca, Chiriqui. It is a clean, tranquil town at the foot of the mountains on the Bocas/David highway. The scenery is unbelievable, and the people very warm and accepting. The prices are very low, relative to most places. We meet and argue [in good nature] about our individual situations, and the Clint Faraday Mysteries [60 books] are generally based on people I've met. as well as the Indio culture. There are characters and situations everywhere [me being a "local character" - an 80 year old long-haired hippie who studies plants, mostly orchids and medicinal plants, and who has found cures from everything ftom migraines to cancer] My avatar is a charcoal sketch by another character, who is a known artist all over central and South America. Alfredo Augustino Castillo Thomas. I will be glad to meet other authors, and, particularly, weird characters. You might end up in a book, either as a killer or a victim! Bwah ha heh!
